Malcolm
Practicing brushes and stuff. Couldn't tell you who the photographer was, but it's young Malcolm McDowell for those who aren't familiar.

The Magician
I turned in a monochromatic one for my midterm, but what's anything without some purple? I rather liked how this one turned out.

Phazon Cave
I finally finished this thing. I've been working on it all week, I think I'm about satisfied with it. I think it took so long because all I've been doing is piling textures on top of each other, masking, editing, a little painting. Basically it's just a big 'ol blue experimental explosion.

At last I have my stuff organized enough that I can finally upload it all. So here's some thumbnails from various assignments, theme: greek assignments 1, 2, and 3, and at the very bottom is a preview for the next post with theme: Noah's ark. These ones are the quicker homework assignments, not the final polished pieces; those come later.
Thumbs
Daedalus
The Oracle of Delphi
River Styx : Charon
Mermaidz. I love this lineart, the painting turned out alright.
I feel like I improved weekly this summer thanks to this class. I mean seriously, look at the progress from that first crap painting with Daedalus. to the last one of Charon. I'm so proud of myself. Thank you a thousand thumbnails over, Joko.

Moving Pictures, WHAT?
These are sequence drawings put together in photoshoops. This is a pretty new concept to me but I think I'm getting the hang of it. All the stuff in this post is homework/studio work from my Character Design for Cartoons class. (You'll have to open up the second 2 gifs in a new window, for whatever reason they refuse to fit on this page)
OH, and another one:
I'm pretty happy with 'em. Whadda you say?
*edit* update with one more
And here's my warrior Shin turning around and being cute. I'll put up the character sheets for him soon. And those of a few other characters. Stay tuned.

quick studies
My painting has improved quite a bit since I last updated I think. And it's all thanks to quick studies. Unfortunately I had really bad lighting while I was taking some of these. Hopefully you won't be able to tell the difference.
